Exclusive, chauffeur driven tours with an expert guide
At Premier Heritage Tours, we are passionate about providing unique, interactive tours of some of England's best kept heritage secrets.
Our journey commenced when our founder began working in various stately homes and noticed the lack of high end, personalized tour options for small, discerning groups. Especially outside the immediate environs of London.
So, with the coming of the high speed rail link from London to the Midlands (only one hour from Kings Cross station) and her expertise in art and architectural history, she decided to create a company that would fill that gap and offer clients an experience to remember for a lifetime.
Tailor made to your individual wishes, we are totally flexible and more than happy to chat about your personal requirements.
A former student of
Desmond Shawe -Taylor CVO, Surveyor of the Queen's Pictures, I studied History of Art at one of the UK's premier universities. Always passionate about both art and history, when I finally got the opportunity to attend university, I grabbed it with both hands and graduated with First Class Honours.
Today, as well as conducting my own tours, I am employed by the
Duke and Duchess of Rutland at their wonderful home Belvoir Castle. Particularly interested in the Baroque period, I am also a fervent fan of architectural history and was again extremely lucky to have studied under the eminent
Professor Richard Schofield, of the University of Venice.
Gregarious by nature and with a great sense of humour, I could not imagine having a better job.
So, come and join me and let's learn and laugh together.

Explore this beautiful, breath-taking city and marvel at its ancient wonders. Home to Magna Carta and what was once the tallest building in the world for almost 600 years, Lincoln's historical significance cannot be over stated. Dating back to Roman times, the Uphill area of Lincoln, or Lindum as it was then known, has been continuously inhabited since the Emperor Claudius invaded in AD43. Subsequently settled in turn by Anglo Saxons, Vikings and the Normans, Lincoln really is a microcosm of English history.
Let our expert guide bring Lincoln's treasures to life for you.

This tour will explore the divergent stylistic tastes of the aristocracy and what their architectural and collection choices signify.
Beautiful Belvoir Castle has been occupied by the same family since 1067. A Gothic Revival castle, Belvoir is considered to be one of the finest Regency houses in England. With its incredible collection of art and furniture, Belvoir really is a must see.
Belton House, was home to the Brownlow/Cust family for three centuries. Built in 1685 in the classical style, Belton is testament to the prevailing taste at that time, with its perfect, symmetrical proportions.
Belton has a wealth of artefacts and paintings to investigate, whilst the 6th Lord played a pivotal role in the abdication crisis of 1936.

The greatest example of an Elizabethan "prodigy" house in England, built by William Cecil, Lord Treasurer and Chief Adviser to Elizabeth I, Burghley is proof in stone of what intellect and hard work can achieve. Burghley is a treasure trove of Tudor portraits and houses Verrio's greatest mural. Interestingly, the current Marquess resides in Canada.
Stunning Stamford is England's finest, complete Georgian town. Built in beautiful golden stone, no wonder it has been named Britain's
"best place to live". With its Friday market dating back to Saxon times, Cecil family tombs and the famous George Hotel, Stamford really does have something for everyone.
